9 Windows XP
9 A PC with a FireWire Port (also called iLink
or IEEE1394)
9 A FireWire cable to connect the camcorder
to the computer
9 Digital Camcorder
9 Mini DV tapes with recorded footage
The following procedure will allow you to create a Windows
Media File that can be used in other Windows applications (i.e.
PowerPoint). Windows Media Files are much smaller in size
and will save hard drive space but will not be able to be
uploaded back to your camera after being saved to your
computer.
